Best JW Marriott Hotels and Resorts to Stay At In 2026
What started as a nine-seat A&W root beer stand with just $6000 in J. Willard Marriott’s hands is now one of the biggest visionaries in hospitality.

One thing stays consistent at Marriott, and if you have ever stayed at one, you would definitely agree- the craft of hospitality persists. Four decades have passed since the first 370-room hotel in Arlington, Virginia. Business grew, and so did the standards. By the time the JW Marriott brand was formally established, it carried the weight of that entire journey.
Currently, JW Marriott functions in more than 121 locations on all the 7 continents. Each one inherits the same founding principle: the guest experience is not incidental. It is the point.
Some names carry history; some bear the weight of expectations. The name Marriott carries both, and how!
The hotels on this list represent the brand at its strongest. At each of these locations, you will find their philosophy- It’s not just a name, it’s our standard—and it’s a high one. We will find the best in a brand that has spent nearly a century earning its reputation.

JW Marriott Marco Island
Marco Island is quite small; it’s spread over around 24 sq miles. Compared to the islands nearby, it’s also quite a young face in tourism. The entire area has witnessed a lot of developments in recent years. The hotel was once a classic Marriott, but is now one of the best hotels for couples in our experience. Although not the entirety of it is adults-only, an entire tower is dedicated to adults. This part is called the Paradise by Sirene. At this resort-within-resort section, you can stay at one of the 94 Balinese- inspired rooms in the Lanai Tower. The balconies all gave the Gulf view, but our favorite was the Corner Suite. Check with the hotel to see if it is available; it would be worth every penny you spend here. The adults-only infinity pool is also a huge highlight of the stay.
You’ll also enjoy the 10K Alley, which was recently opened in 2018. The taproom has a gaming arcade where you can play mini golf and popular arcade games. The beer here is particularly amazing, and so are the 65 barrel-aged bourbons.
JW Marriott Desert Springs Resort & Spa
Just a year back, the Desert Springs Resort went through huge renovations that have made the visit even more worth it. The entire space of 450 acres is filled to the brim with flamboyancy. The manmade lakes and the Chilean flamingoes have been a part of the hotel since its establishment. The rooms are probably one of the most chic ones we have ever been to- on-trend and aligned to the nature of the area. The mountain-inspired murals work amazingly with the quartz vanities and warm hues of the room.
Another thing that stood out to us was how there was water everywhere! Water trickles down terrace slopes, ponds, a huge indoor lake, fountains, etc., in every place you could have imagined. It is a popular option for the best hotels for Coachella near Palm Desert. If you’re going during the festival, you’d need much-much advance bookings. Since the festival starts around noon, and check-in here begins at 4 pm, you could come early in the morning to request early check-in. There might be a charge for that, though.
JW Marriott Orlando, Grande Lakes
Most people who visit Orlando have one question- JW Marriott or Ritz? And, honestly, we get you. Both the resorts are exemplary, to say the least. JW and RC at Grande Lakes share the same spa facility. That means you get the same spa etiquette, and everyone is cognizant about giving you the best experience. We love visiting during the Summer by the Lake celebration when the vibe of the entire resort is at full swing. Live music, fireworks, parties, evening events, you name it- the celebration will have it all. Even the Holidays are all merry and shine; you’d definitely enjoy the festive experiences at the resort.
Besides the festivities, the Grandes Lake Water Park is a huge hit for family-friendly trips to Orlando. The Headwaters Slide Tower and the Lazy River are a hit with tods and teens. But that’s not it. Visitors on adult-only trips to Orlando will also have a great time at the Oasis VIP firepit lounge. This part feels more upscale and luxurious. The circular seating areas around the firepits feel more fascinating with a cocktail or two. Private pools around the lounge area are also a better option if the chaos of the main pool is too much for your senses.
JW Marriott Bonnet Creek
For a place as popular as Orlando, it was bound to have multiple JW Marriotts that make your travel experience extraordinary. The Bonnet Creek Resort & Spa is right near Universal, which means every visitor on a trip to Universal wants to stay at this luxurious place. The hotel is very sleek and calm, which itself makes for a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of tourists. The Activity Garden is particularly a hit with families. You can go for mini golf or rock climbing if adventure suits your needs. Spoiler- The nightly EPCOT fireworks from the Disney resort are also visible from garden-level rooms. The sky would be LIT!
The only downside to staying at Bonnet Creek instead of the official Disney resort would be the 30-minute access perk. The official resort allows a 30-minute early entry perk to its guests or visitors from partner resorts. That being said, JW Marriott is still our preferred hotel; the loudness of the Disney Resort might not make for the most peaceful stay. There’s yet another reason that we particularly favor BC. How the staff follows the 15/5 rule of Marriott and general hospitality to the T is particularly admirable.
JW Marriott Phoenix Desert Ridge Resort & Spa
The Phoenix Desert Ridge takes about 316 acres of the Sonoran Desert in Northeast Phoenix. The huge area has about 950 rooms with mountain and desert views. This resort, too, has a retreat within a retreat experience- you get your spa experience, the restaurant Meritage has amazing food, and you don’t have to look for options outside. Your kids will especially love the 140,000 sq. ft. AquaRidge Waterpark and the Havasu Playground.
Visitors have also been availing the VIP Lounge- JW Griffin Club. With a daily fee, you can enjoy breakfast buffet, lunch, a hosted bar, or even a dessert sampling. Even the Revive Spa is a big hit with visitors. One hand at the prickly pear sugar scrub and your skin will feel as good as new! We mentioned Meritage before, but Tia Carmen does not fall behind in its delicacies at all. Every item has a distinguished smoky flavor from the wooden oven. Try the Ceviche Tostada, which is a relatively newer addition to the original Angelo Sosa menu. Chef’s Kiss!

01
Best JW Marriott in Kenya
JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge
You typically expect a JW Marriott in tall buildings and cleanly cut lines; the Masai Mara is not the same. It was the first time Marriott had entered the safari industry, and the brand delivered. While the amenities are fairly westernized, you will still feel connected to the lands of Kenya. Some 20 tents stand on the banks of the Talek River. These rooms are more chic than they are colonial. That doesn’t mean it’s not a niche experience. The tents have roll-up windows and Masai accents and decor. You would love the honeymoon villa. It has its own plunge pool and lots of privacy to enjoy your company.
02
Best JW Marriott on High Altitude
JW Marriott El Convento Cusco
Every visit to Cusco has one thing in common- nausea courtesy of the high altitude. While this provides deep discomfort, it is also a reason why we like the EL Convento. All the rooms provide you with integrated oxygen that is constantly pumped to help you acclimatize to the elevation. Ages ago, it was a 16th-century Spanish Augustine convent. It is now one of the best blends of different eras. The entire decor is done in stylish rooms infused with prevailing with Incan symbols. In fact, it is the Incan and Spanish colonial artifacts that give the hotel its personality. The Front Desk itself is representative of Inti, the God of the Sun of the Incas.
03
Best themed resort by JW Marriott
JW Marriott Phu Quoc Emerald Bay Resort & Spa
Phu Quoc is not the cheapest hotel in Vietnam, but it certainly is one of the prettiest. The island was still developing when the resort established itself as one of the first true luxury properties in the area. Guests have often used the word “whimsical” to describe the vibe of the place. It was once Lamarck University from 1880 to 1940, and most of the rooms you see were part of the academic infrastructure. The Dean’s Library has been transformed into the Reception Lobby. In the midst of long ceilings and natural light, you can check out the 1,500 books of the collection. The flamboyancy of the resort is visible in its colour scheme; so much vividity, you’d almost not relate to the muted chic of JW. You would have a lot of fun doing photography in the area, especially of sunrises and sunsets. The Pink Pearl restaurant is an absolute must-visit if you’re staying at the hotel.
04
Best Resort in Maldives for Family Friendly Stays
JW Marriott Maldives Resort & Spa
The Maldives JW Marriott is not the oldest face in the mix. In fact, it started functioning late in the year of 2019, but are the amenities lovely! From the seaplane dock, you get to the hotel’s jetty in a boat. The entire transfer is unique, too- of course, the views are lovely, but the camaraderie of the staff is what will hit you the most. Often, clapping and singing members welcome you on board. The butler or the takuru can even help you with reservations or suggestions for the best activities in the Maldives. If you’re traveling with kids, prepare for the most amazing experience on the island. JW Marriott has one of the largest kids’ clubs in the Maldives. You’ll find a pirate’s shipwreck surrounded by cute beach huts by the small kids’ pool.
05
Best JW Marriott in Europe 2026
JW Marriott Grosvenor House London
The Grosvenor House is a lovely property; you’d find yourself coming back every time you’re in London. The property was previously the home of the Dukes of Westminster and Gloucester. In 1929, famed architects L. Rome Guthrie and Sir Edwin Lutyens (also famous for designing India’s Capital New Delhi) rebuilt the entire unit. In fact, many royalties and celebrities find their stay at this hotel. The Steakhouse dishes will compete well with the best steaks you’d have had before. The breakfast menu is largely Continental in the buffet, but you can pick something from the à la carte menu. The Great Room at the hotel is also famous for conducting some of the biggest events in Europe, like the Pride of Britain Awards and the Royal Caledonian Ball.
06
Best Hotels in Venice, Italy With Privacy and Great Views
JW Marriott Venice Resort & Spa
Perhaps the highlight of the Venice JW Marriott was the entry into the hotel itself. You take a water taxi in Venetian fashion across the stunning lagoon and pull up at the dock of Isola delle Ros. This is the private island where the JW Marriott sits in its embellishment and awe. The accommodation sphere is divided into five areas with distinct amenities. You can pick suites based on your family size or a romantic room if you’re on a honeymoon in Venice. Even the food at the Agli Amici Dopolavoro is easily one of the best palettes in the area. Emanuele Scarello, from the Scarello family, runs the kitchen alongside his sister and sommelier, Michela. The family has earned the two-Michelin-starred Agli Amici 1887 in Udine, and it is reflected in the cooking. The menu has obvious touches of Venetian Palette, but the personal Friulian touch of Scarello is unmistakable there.

Best Marriott Hotels In The World
Best Marriott Hotels In The World- Other Brands
While we have talked a great deal about the JW Marriotts of the world, Marriott International still has 38 other profiles that operate in the hospitality industry. The company amalgamated multiple brands that had already established their name in the market. Of course, that carried a risk of dilution- properties starting to seem alike. But that never happened; every brand caters to different aesthetics and travellers. A well-run Ritz-Carlton and a well-run W Hotel feel nothing alike. Here are a few other Marriott hotels that have been consistent tourist favorites-
